Cost-Sharing Reductions
Cost sharing reductions (CSR) are discounts on deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance that make having insurance more affordable. CSRs also lower your out-of-pocket maximum, which is the maximum amount you are required to pay for health care services per year. Once you reach the out-of-pocket maximum, the insurance plan must pay for 100% of the costs of covered services. If you qualify for CSRs, you must enroll in a silver plan to receive the benefits.
